Will LBB run on WIN CE?

Hi Richard,

Assuming a "simple" program, no particular graphics or so,would LBB be able to run on WIN CE?

Multiplatform LBB?

Richard,

I asked if LBB would run under WIN CE; I should have asked differently.

As I'm not a computer things geek, I have absolute no idea what it takes or what makes any program to be compatible with this or that operation system (WIN, MacOS, iOS, Android, Linux, etc.).

As an electrician and system integrator, I would have lots of opportunities to make (very) small apps that could run on industrial PCs or other tiny computers like RASPBERRY Pi and so.

I was googling around and found about "FreeBasic" (http://www.freebasic.net/) said to be a compiler and can produce console, graphical/GUI executables (?!). Anyway, it claims to be +/- multi-platform (http://www.freebasic.net/about.html). I didn't test it.

Is that really so "easy"?

Is it something possible with LBB?

Are there pros and cons?

Thanks for some basic information, if you have a little time for this ;-)

I never saw that question. I rely on the 'View the 10 most recent posts of this forum' feature to monitor activity, so if ten or more posts have appeared since yours was posted I will never see it (and anyway there's a longstanding Conforums bug which can result in posts not appearing in that list). sad

There's a relevant thread here which may answer some of your questions.

Naturally if you're looking for a cross-platform BASIC I would recommend BBC BASIC, but then I am highly prejudiced!

Richard.

Thanks Richard.

I had a look at the thread and got my answers wink

I may give BBC a try, sooner or later.
