Rusell, I was trying to send you some money to day buy buying bbc basic. I am in the united states. I think the form I was filling out got sstuck and it never went through.
My name is Philip Hughes . I was using a master card.
I would also like to make a donation for the work that you have done with lb booster. Maybe I was blind but I did not see that option.

PayPal shows no record of any transaction, sorry.

Richard.

Richard, I have not used paypal in a long time. I chose a mastercard. Should I try again under that.

It shouldn't make any difference whether you use a PayPal account or a card; just select the appropriate option on the page you get when you click Buy Now. The process is generally trouble-free.

I did it again and it went through. I don't know why it did not go through the first time. Richard since you are not going to develop lbbooster any longer. Are you going to leave the site up for it.

Absolutely. As I said before, LBB will remain available and it will remain supported. There will almost certainly be further releases to fix bugs, but probably not to add major new features.

Of the list I published a while ago of possible future developments, debugging features are now in, 3-dimensional arrays are in, and enhancements to the IDE (syntax colouring etc.) are largely unnecessary if you use LBB in conjunction with LB Workshop.

So really only 'new compiler directives' (e.g. conditional compilation) and 'new native controls' (e.g. a grid control) are now unlikely to be implemented.

That still leaves LBB in most respects significantly more functional than LB 4.04, and the ability to incorporate 'library' modules via the 'include directive opens up opportunities for extending its capabilities that way.

Richard.

I know it has great potiential for just basic users . I know that lb users and carl my be concerned about lbb. I believe there is room enough for both products and I and many others have been waiting for lb for over 5 years. Carl does not do this full time as he has other work as well.

I have bought other compilers over the years as well. Depends on what I am doing.

I'm sure we all appreciate that Carl has limited time, but in my opinion it would have been better to fix the many bugs in LB 4.04 before concentrating his efforts on LB5.

My understanding is that a version 4.05 exists, which is at least a little better than 4.04, but for some reason Carl does not want to release it.

If Carl does not want to release it, either he has something that may need attention or maybe he is finally getting close to lb5. Maybe! Either way lbb is valuable tool that I fully intend to use.
