Comtest
« Thread started on: Feb 23rd, 2014, 6:22pm »
Comtest program is intended to measure the actual speed of data transfer over a variety of serial interfaces (COM ports, USB / COM, USB / TTL OBDII etc adapters) that have loopback.
My program is similar to the program TestOK, but my is more flexible.
The program benefits:
- Select any Serial port from Com1 to Com 256; - Adjust the various parameters of data stream and the amount of data; - 3 different tests, simple loopback and two different stress test; - Create error log (in txt format), if the error was detected.
The program I wrote when I could not find out the reason why my USB/TTL converter (from OTI) works flawlessly with Hyperterminal, but not in conjunction with a defective Seagate hard drive (only same garbage characters). HDD is normal communicate with the serial port on mainboard via COM TTL converter with MAX232.
