LB Booster version 3.10 released
Post by Richard Russell on Dec 2nd, 2017, 5:09pm

I am pleased to announce the release of LB Booster version 3.10. It may be downloaded from here:

http://lbbooster.com/LBB.exe (IDE/compiler)
http://lbbooster.com/LBBRUN.exe (Run Time Engine)

This release incorporates the following minor changes to the IDE:
  1. There is now a keyboard shortcut (Alt+down) to open the subs/functions/labels drop-down list. This corrects an unfortunate omission: there always should have been a shortcut, for 'accessibility' reasons.

  2. An 'unsaved' program (for example one that has been typed or pasted into the LBB editor) will be run in the current directory, if it is writable. If the current directory is not writable the program will be run in the temporary directory as before.
There have been no changes at all to the Run Time Engine because I'm pleased to say no problems or incompatibilities have been reported to me since the release of v3.09.

Please note that, unavoidably, updating LBB.exe will mean that its 'reputation' is reset and you may receive security warnings when you download it. This should resolve itself eventually when the new version has been downloaded a sufficient number of times for its safety to be established.

Richard.

Thank you Richard,

What a great work you done!
Unfortunately Windows always changed by Microsoft, that's make every great works like LBB pass a way by time.

This happened, because the LBB exe (it self), or the exe that made by LBB are very secure, it is not easy for the secure programs to disassemble them at once (on the fly) therefor they post a warning. This is my opinion, hope not makes Richard angry as well.

All the best

No, that has nothing to do with it. The primary reason for the warning is simply that LBB is uncommon: it is downloaded only in very small numbers. So it takes quite a long time for its safety to be established.

However, LBB is digitally signed, using the most secure algorithm (unlike LB 4.5, which - astonishingly - is not signed at all). Therefore it should not provoke the 'scariest' kind of warning!

Richard.
