I've never been deleted on any forum that I've ever been on for a decade, and no I didn't even get a reprimand. I just thought it funny to comment on the "toast" juxtaposed against the "jam".
However, I do post some frivolous comments at times. Just my nature to be jovial. Mostly its appreciated, but I suppose some folks are living in a darker world than I. It doesn't really make me want to post on that forum.

Yes, I did get the joke. I just hope it was up long enough for others to appreciate it too. Those poor users who are stuck with LB 4.5.0 (and the LB Pro 'elite' who are still forced to use LB Pro 4.04) need as much cheering up as they can get!

At least you have the choice.

I don't know how long, though. I have complained.

Good luck, but if you try to argue that you didn't break the rules, don't be surprised if they are changed retrospectively! It's happened before, without any consultation or discussion with the members.

Actually, after reading "The Rules" at the LB Forum, I violated this rule in an earlier post:
Quote:| ... No reposting of content from this forum to other locations. You may, of course, repost your own code and comments where you please.... |

So, I was already skating on thin ice.
This is terrible. I haven't been involved with programming Windows software since Windows 98SE and DOS. I start learning Windows with Liberty Basic and within a month I'm in trouble with the developer.
After this project, I think I'll go back to FileMaker. It is so much more sophisticated. I'm sure FileMaker hasn't been as static and patched as Liberty Basic has for a decade or more. The majority of "educational" material is dated back to 2005 to 2006 and before. It all still works! There's only a few posts a month on the main forum and those are mostly from newbies like myself that have stumbled in unaware of the situation.
How does a developer explain announcing a product a decade in advance and it still isn't available? At least 3 generations of programmers have been produced from schools around the globe and nary a one of them has any intention of purchasing said product no matter how well it is developed.
WTF are we thinking?!

To be fair, the 'developer' (i.e. Carl Gundel himself) has never caused me or LBB any trouble at all. He was kind enough to say, publicly, that "LBB is a legitimate artifact. Feel free to use it if it suits your needs". The person or people with whom you are "in trouble" have self-appointed roles.

That's fine, of course, but you also have the option of using LBB independently of LB, or you could take a look at BBC BASIC (which is what LBB uses, under the hood).
Richard.

And thank you for being here, too. I know LBB will be the only way I can deliver this project.
I sure don't feel welcome on the LB forum.

pnlawrence, you know there is also JB out there too? I quit using QB then forum I used (on Tek-Tips) dried out. I converted to JB, use it since 2007. So it is nice and free and comes no strings attached but the audience is small. Just compare number of views on new topic. Eventually picked up LB and LBB, too. You can of course restrict yourself to posting only here - but I would say LB forum still has more (much more?) members. So if you want to get feedback - or just to wow people - use all forums your program compatible with. as for Quote:| I sure don't feel welcome on the LB forum. |

well, as we say it in Russia "angry [horse] gets water to carry [gets all hard work]". Forum is not one (==1) moderator. Forum is the people.
EDIT https://ru.wikiquote.org/wiki/Английские_пословицы gives me "Let not the sun go down on your wrath" Whatever )

Again, I'm not upset at this at all. The word "wrath" is not even in my dictionary. I'm just being practical; not stupid!
Thanks for your comment, though.
