Okay,

I did verify the file as suggested and sent a report to AVG.

Let's wait and see.

Thanks.

In the meantime you can of course add it to AVG's local whitelist, so you can continue to use LBB. There's every likelihood that the next time I update LBB it will be necessary to go round the same loop again. sad

I suppose we should be grateful that on Windows it's still permitted to install programs like LBB (or JB and LB for that matter) from 'unknown' sources or 'untrustworthy' vendors. Users of Apple products, in particular, (like iOS and Mac OS) are increasingly discouraged or prevented from running anything that hasn't gone through a formal - and strict - approval process and available only from the App Store.

Richard,

I actually went back to DEFENDER. For any reasons, I was sticking to AVG but you're right, DEFENDER does it very well in fact wink

For my own culture, may I ask you if you know what it can cost to get an application signed?

The Code Signing Certificate I use is US$ 75.00 for one year, $140 for two years or $195 for three years. I consider it good value considering there is no limit to the number of files you can sign. I use it for signing Windows, Mac OS-X and Android executables.

I think it's silly that Carl Gundel doesn't sign Just BASIC or Liberty BASIC. These days I expect all 'professional' software to be signed.
